Our flood light programme covers 76 catalogue models from 3W to 400W in DC24V and AC220V, with beam angles from 10° to 120°, in single colour, RGB and RGBW. Floodlights are the most mis-specified fixture in outdoor lighting: the same 50W housing can be perfect for a monument or useless for a car park depending on the optic and the mounting height, so we supply them configured to the application rather than as a wattage on a page.
Housings are die-cast or extruded aluminium, powder-coated, with a tempered glass front and a potted driver. Every unit is aged for 48 hours before packing and carries a 5-year warranty.
Three things decide whether a floodlight survives three summers on a façade: the thermal path from the LED board to the housing, the quality of the driver, and the sealing. A cheap unit typically uses a plastic-sealed driver bay and a housing with insufficient fin area for its rated wattage; the LED junction runs hot, output drops, and the driver fails in year two. Our high-power models use a separate driver compartment so that the heat from the LEDs does not sit around the driver, and the fin area is sized for continuous operation at 45 °C ambient rather than for a laboratory figure.
The second differentiator is the optic. A floodlight with a clear flat glass and no secondary optic throws a bright centre and a dim edge — fine for a wall, poor for a car park where uniformity matters. Our area models use a multi-lens array or a structured PMMA optic that spreads light evenly across the target.
| Beam | Typical use | Mounting height |
|---|---|---|
| 10° – 15° | Long-throw accent on towers, monuments, signage from a distance | 10 m+ |
| 25° – 40° | General façade accent, tree uplighting, billboards | 3 – 10 m |
| 60° – 90° | Area lighting, loading bays, yards, car parks | 4 – 8 m |
| 120° | Wide wash at low height, wall grazing, temporary structures | 2 – 4 m |
All outdoor floodlights are IP65 as standard; IP67 is available where fixtures sit in splash or flood-prone positions. For AC220V installations we recommend a surge protection device at the luminaire — outdoor lighting is usually the most exposed circuit on a site, and a surge that destroys a driver is not covered by any warranty. Tell us if the site has a history of lightning damage and we will quote with SPD integrated. For long runs on DC24V, voltage drop is the limiting factor rather than the fixture itself: beyond about 15 m, move to AC220V or use a higher-voltage constant-current arrangement.
Standard colour temperatures are 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6500K, with CRI 80 as standard and CRI 90 / 95 available. For retail and hospitality exteriors, 3000K CRI90 is usually the right answer because it keeps skin tones and materials natural. Housing finishes are matte black, dark grey, silver grey and white; for coastal projects we offer an additional anti-corrosion coating — salt spray is the single most common cause of cosmetic failure on seafront installations.
We build to specification: wattage and LED count, optic, colour temperature and CRI, housing colour, cable and connector, voltage, dimming protocol (0–10V, DALI, TRIAC), sensor integration (PIR or photocell), and packaging. For distributors we supply neutral cartons and private-label printing. For projects we provide IES files and DIALux calculations so the design can be verified before production.
A floodlight spreads light over an area with a wide beam; a spotlight concentrates it on a target with a narrow beam. In practice the distinction is the optic, not the housing — the same body can be supplied with a 15° or a 90° lens. If you need a defined pool of light on a sign or a statue, specify narrow; if you need to see the ground over a wide area, specify wide.
As a starting point for a typical surface car park, 100W–150W LED floodlights at 6–8 m mounting height, spaced at roughly 3–4× the mounting height, will give usable uniform light. Exact figures depend on the required lux level, the pole layout and the surface reflectance — send us a site plan and we will return a photometric layout rather than a guess.
Yes, mechanically and electrically — but they are optically designed for distance, so indoors they tend to produce harsh contrast. For high-bay indoor use (warehouses, workshops) we recommend our high-bay range with a proper wide distribution instead of an outdoor floodlight.
Yes, in RGB and RGBW with DMX512 control. For temporary event use we recommend the RGBW version because the dedicated white channel gives a clean white that RGB mixing cannot produce, and events almost always need white at some point.
Five years on outdoor floodlights. Claims are handled by shipping a replacement driver or LED module from stock where the failure is a component, or a complete replacement where the housing is at fault. We ask for the installation date, photos and the batch code so we can trace the production run.
Send the application, mounting height, required beam and quantity, and we will return a configured selection with price — normally within one working day. Email jianguoli31@gmail.com · WhatsApp +86 155 2908 9983.
